Design tin packaging and seed packets to mark Yate’s 125 years commemoration.
Yates is an Australian brand icon and we were given access to their old advertising material. From that we ‘turned back the clock’ and designed the packaging to pay homage to the original designs, bringing a sense of history and reminiscence to the packaging to mark this outstanding anniversary.
The most important objective when designing is to honour the brand. If it’s an existing, known brand, a story has been built already, so you want to add to that story in a believable, respectful way. In this case, reverting to some of the original designs was the best way forward.
