It started with records and cassettes and ended with the demise of the CD but between 1985 to 2005 MDG designed thousands of covers. From large multi nationals like Virgin, EMI, ABC, Polydor, BMG and Festival to compilation style record companies such as Startel, Dino, CEL and J&B Records plus a bunch of independents, personally I witnessed a lot of changes in music and styles.
MDG worked on great singles and albums from even greater artists such as INXS, AC/DC, Baby Animals, Vanessa Amorosi, James Reyne, Lenny Kravitz, Joe Jackson, Paula Abdul, Icehouse, Olivia Newton-John and Diesel. But what I am mostly known for is the design I created for the ARIA Award in 1990. That big tall pointy thing that is given away each year to artists whilst celebrating the Australian music industry.
This is a vault of some sorts, a small cross section of work created over this period.
